Ciarán played for Ardmore Rovers until his undoubted skill and talent was spotted by Blackburn Rovers at the age of 16.
He returned to Ireland in 1999 to sign for Bray Wanderers and was a regular member of their squad for 8 seasons before leaving to sign for Shelbourne in February 2007.
Ciarán helped coach the Cubs Academy for a number of years and he managed and coached an Ardmore team for several seasons.
