Ardmore Rovers U8 SDFL traveled to Rathcoole to play in the final of the Catherine OFarrell League cup Final to face Granada.

The game kick off and Ardmore were straight on the attack,the first half went from one end to the other with Ardmore with the better chances, the first half finished with the score 0-0.

The second half kick off with Ardmore passing and having the majority of the possession, with attack after attack the boys broke the dead lock from some great play through the defence and on through midfield with the ball ending up with our right sided attacker in the Granada box, and he finished with a super right foot shot.
Granada when straight back at Ardmore but with some super covering from midfield and outstanding defending from both our defenders we broke on Granada a couple of times with no end product, until ten minutes into the second half we cleared the ball from defence to our attackers and got behind the Granada defence and with another super finish from one of our attackers we made it 2-0, the Granada heads went down and the boys finished the job with a third goal from yet another attacker, the game finished 3-0 to Ardmore Rovers.

Myself Peter & Ian would just like to congratulate the boys on their first cup Final win,the eleven of them have worked very hard over the last couple of years and fully deserve everything they got on Saturday are going to get over the next few years as long as they keep up the good work.

Myself Peter and the team would also like to thank Ian Wheeler the (club head coach) for his help on the big day plus through the last couple of years.

We would like to thank Granada U8 FC for the great game they played, and i am sure we will meet again in a Final in the near further.
