Super Rovers

Ardmore Rover U8 SDFL traveled to Clondalkin to take on Knockmittem U8 on Saturday 6/4/13.

This was only the second time these teams have played each other,the first was in Kilians early this year when the home team won the game.

The game started and its was going from one end to the other, eventually the away team started playing and moving the ball around on the very small pitch, the boys opened the scoring after ten minutes with a well taken goal from our right winger, the second followed a few minutes later from our forward, the half came to an end with the away side winning 0-2.

The second half started as the first finished with the home side under a lot of pressure, within a few minutes the boys had scored again with a goal from our goal keeper who was playing out field for the second half, it was a STUNNER from just over the half way line he hit a cracker of a shot right into the top right corner of the net,it was goal of the season.
The next goal was all about control and other team members moving defenders
out of position, our forward received the ball just in the away teams half and ren all the way down the left hand side and scored a super goal.

The home team got one back on the break just before full time, the away side won the game 1-6 in the end with a very good away proformance.
Well done to the boys as this is seven wins in a row.
