Rovers Roar Back

The boys took on Shankill U8 DDSL A on Sunday morning in Shankill.

We started well enough, passing and moving and keeping our shape.
The boys gave away a silly goal after 6 minutes, in fairness it was a very good finish from their foward.

The lads tipped off and never let their heads drop, we put the home team under some good pressure and got our rewards with a smashing finish from our forward, all coming from some super passing through our midfielders.

The home side came straight back at us and had a few chances but our defenders were playing great and not getting pulled out of position.We
ourselves had a few good chances to increase the score. The game was fast and attacking and very good football to watch for all.

Ardmore went ahead just before half time with a good finish, again the attack started from our midfield and ended in a goal.

The second half started as the first finished with both teams on the attack, we had a few chances as well as the home side,our goal keeper was very busy.
Shankill got a goal back 2 minutes before full time and the game finished 2-2, this was a fair result for both teams.

The boys have now played two top teams from the DDSL A League and have done great,the competition is super and the boys enjoyed it,
