Rovers undone by Celtic

Ardmore U8 SDFL welcomed Lourdes Celtic from league A of the DDSL on Sunday in St.Kilians.

The boys started well but were put under pressure from the start of the game for large parts of the first half, we gave away two sloppy goals and were 0-2 down at half time.
The second half we gave as good as we got and put the away team under some pressure and got a goal back from an attack down the right hand side.

The game was up and down from one end to the other, we had two good chances on the break when we ended up three against one and two against one and on both occasions we were unlucky with our finish.
The away team got us with a break just before full time to make it 1-3 at full time.

This is the best team we have played by a mile to date,they played as a team passed the ball well,and gave us an insight to the level of competition that they take part in ever week.They have just won the U8 DDSL A league before Christmas and we would like to congratulate both the the management team and most of all the players.

We intend to play them again in the coming weeks or months,and maybe we can give them a BETTER game.
