Chairperson, Ciarán O'Connor, further explains the expectations arising from the Safer Return to Training Protocol

Dear Ardmore Rovers Parents and Players,

We are delighted to be finally getting back to football the week beginning 26th April 2021. This return to training however is on a Strictly non-contact basis but we hope that this is an important first step back to full football.

To ensure that we keep our members playing safely into the future, each and every one of us must fully observe the FAI’s safety protocols, which can be found here, and we urge you to refer to this document before training resumes and communicate some key points to your children.

As a result of your cooperation with our Covid Protocols last year, there were no cases positive or suspected cases that arose from activity within the club. We can all be very proud of that fact and we want that to continue.

All training sessions must be non-contact including no in-house matches, small sided games, or other activities that will involve contact between players.

Parents should please note Section 4, only essential personnel are permitted access onto the training pitch/area. If you have young children and feel it is essential for you to accompany them, please observe 2 metres social distancing at all times.

The protocol also insists that children can not share lifts on the way to or from training.

Players must bring their own hand sanitiser. A full list of player responsibilities is contained in Section 7.

Please also refer to Section 8 which requires you to stay at home if you are unwell or have been overseas, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 case or suspected case in the last 14 days. As you will note, there is a large degree of personal responsibility required, which we are happy to have seen to date. If your child has been in contact a COVID-19 case or suspected case, or perhaps is sent home from school pending an enquiry please notify your manager or email the COVID Compliance Officer through our website's contact page or covid@ardmorerovers.com.

We thank you for your continuing support and cooperation and we look forward to welcoming everybody back to football.

Yours in sport,

Ciarán O'Connor

Chairperson
