All of us here in Ardmore Rovers would like to thank all of you who took part in, and supported, our main fundraiser of the year, The Lucozade Sport Colour Rush Fun Run.

Once again, The Colour Rush was a big success with almost 1,000 people at the event on Sunday, June 24th, where participants were treated to a 5km course of powder paint, water, obstacles and a slip ‘n’ slide to finish the run off.

Before the run, samples of Fulfil Protein and Vitamin Bars were available while the crowd gathered eager to get going. The Registration area in front of the Ballywaltrim Park Changing Room Facility was awash with colour as the runners got the party started by throwing as much paint at each other as they could get their hands on.

Once they were given the nod, the Colour Rushers swiftly made their way to the warm up area where Emma from Shoreline Leisure Bray put them through their paces to get them loosened up to take on our 5km course. Next it was time to get into waves as each group was brought to the Start/Colour Zone where they were sent on their way through a cloud of multicoloured powder paint!

While navigating the course the Colour Rushers were doused in water and covered in even more powder paint and had to get over several inflatable obstacles throughout the two laps of our course, the highlight of which appeared to be the Slip ‘n’ Slide which was the final obstacle per lap.

When the Colour Rushers had completed the run, there were refreshments free to pick up from our event sponsor, Lucozade Sport and event supporters, Keogh's Crisps and Skittles, while food vendors were also on site to feed those left hungry by their endeavours.

Throughout the day, our media partners, Radio Nova were on site with their Street Team, who handed out balloons and stickers to our runners while also reporting live back to studio with all the details of what was going on in The Colour Rush.

We hope you all enjoyed the Lucozade Sport Colour Rush and we look forward to seeing you all return, once more, to take on a bigger, better, more colourful Colour Rush in 2019.
